Tales from a Mid-Lifer

Gratitude… 

1. We gained a bonus daughter! Our son is officially married! 

2. Spent all of June in New York for the wedding and appreciated the weather, familiar parks and way better food.     

3. Anything that could go awry did, prior to the wedding (the day itself was literally magazine/Instagram perfect) – beginning with my gown arriving in different material than ordered. I lived in a panic until an alternate gown was located, followed by last-minute alterations. Each day, larger and smaller issues arose… continually. I’m grateful to have learned valuable lessons during the warfare. I’ll look back and some of these June moments will be funny.

4. I met two rare souls who were pursuing a life worth living, while earning one. One was a GenZ, the other a Millenial, which refreshed my spirit that some young ones still care about a life of substance.

5. So thankful to spend time with our former, wonderful neighbors.

6. Learned Black Jack – played with Monopoly money😉. 

7. Grateful for the love of God which sustains me through the hardest moments. I am just as thankful for Him on my brighter days. 

8. I looked up and the June sky blessed me with peace. 

9. June blooms in the northeast are simply gorgeous. The trees…unmatched. 

10. Thankful to be back blogging. I’ve missed you and hope your June was a good one♥️.
