I kinda miss those old back of seat screens, I don’t want to have to use my cellphone to watch a movie or listen to music.

  This was a recent flight, newer plane-are the airlines removing back of seat screens? Or do you mean your phone is now required to connect to those newer screens, unlike the older ones?

    We normally fly American from our small regional airport. The regional jets don’t offer WiFi and the transcontinental ones only offer it through your cellphone with earbuds/headphones or your computer. Haven’t seen a seat back screen in several years on any airline that I have traveled.

      Ohhh, that explains it. I’ve had similar experiences. My youngest went to Liberty U in VA, and the Lynchburg airport also only offered regional American, always through Charlotte to pick up the larger planes to NY.
