I came across the following words today, stated by actress Shannen Doherty of the 1990’s television show, Beverly Hills 90210. She died on Saturday at 53-years old.
“I don’t want to die,” she heartbreakingly told People at the time. “I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better,” Doherty continued. “I’m just not — I’m not done.” (New York Post, 7/14/2024)
Even into old age, most of us want more time…
“Teach us to use wisely all the time we have.” Psalm 90:12 CEV “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 NLT
We tend to complain about Mondays. After this weekend where a beloved father lost his life, an assassination attempt occurred on a former President, and no doubt you had your own frustrations and emotions, Monday is looking good right now. Moving forward, fresh start, hopeful that tomorrow will be better than yesterday.
If you’re reading this, you and I are still here because God has more to do in us and through us. He’s not done.
How blessed we are to have this time… to really live.
“…His mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:23 NLT
Welcome, Monday.
