10 At The End – April

Reflections, Observations, Gratitude…

1. Thankful for green grass and heavy rain in Texas. (Apparently brown grass and dry conditions will soon take over.)

2. Spring in New York.

3. Pilot of my flight last week: “We are expecting turbulence most of the way. Long weather pattern.”😳 Thankful to God for seven safe April flights.

4. Back and forth between Texas and New York this month. Celebrated Easter and my future daughter-in-law’s bridal shower🤍 in NY, with two weeks in TX.

5. Caught a wicked flu while sitting in a hospital with mother-in-law who has taken ill.

6. My new neighbor brought homemade soup when she heard I was sick. This really touched me.

7. Still reading Jordan Peterson’s, We Who Wrestle With God. Re-read The Pilgrim’s Way, given to me by a Greek Orthodox priest when I was a teenager. Noticed it while unpacking books in my new office. Not to be confused with The Pilgrim’s Progress.

8. Thankful for God and His Word. He is the only comfort when life goes sideways. There were some unsettling happenings this month.

9. Traveling above the clouds.

10. The sun reflecting dew drops on the early morning Spring grass. Beautiful.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time with me today. Have a blessed week!

I can’t remember if your mother-in-law is in Texas or New York, but whichever, sorry that you picked up that flu. If she’s in NY, that’s a reminder that viruses don’t discriminate by state! I’ve been fighting an unidentified virus for a few weeks, and it’s no fun. I hope you’re better!

She’s in NY. I picked it up Easter week and spent my two weeks in Texas in rough shape. Nearly a month later, I’m still fatigued and coughing (the back and forth didn’t
help). Returned to TX last night, hoping the warmth is healing. I’m so sorry you have something unidentified. No, it’s definitely not fun and I’m sending a prayer your way right now. In all sincerity, take good care🤍.
