10 At the End – March

Reflections, observations, gratitude…

1. Thankful and honored to be featured on WordPress Freshly Pressed for my March post, The Everyday, Rarely-Instagrammed-Things.

2. Went to trivia night themed for the show, The Office. I was just there for the fun but my youngest knew all answers but one.

3. Daylight savings time. Hate the missing hour, love the longer days.

4. Thought it would be fun to test out our new sound system by playing old Neil Diamond songs. I’m still waking up two weeks later with alternating Holly Holy and Brooklyn Roads running through my head!

5. Nighttime card games with youngest and son-in-law…thankful for together-evenings.

6. Trying to enjoy tacos but they’re just not my thing. Sacrilegious statement in the Lone Star State🤠!

7. A Mom and her little daughter (4 yrs) were next to me at Hobby Lobby. Filled with wonder at all the glistening pastels for Easter, she crinkled pink cellophane in her tiny hand exclaiming loudly, “I just want to live in this store!” Day made.

8. Taking walks with my daughter every day. Because we can.

9. Stunning Texas sunsets.

10. Gratitude for all the Lord has done… His sacrifice for our freedom. His love covering our mess. The resurrection!

Thank you for joining me today and have a wonderful week ahead!

Welcome Spring, 2026!

Your comment about tacos made me giggle. When my daughter was very young, I could put something she didn’t usually like to eat and make it into a taco and suddenly it was good to eat. 😂

Congrats on the Freshly Pressed post! I didn’t even realize WP was still doing that. Many years ago, I too had that honor. I had to chuckle over the taco thing. We learned to eat them and enjoy authentic Mexican food when we lived in Oklahoma. My husband’s brother lives in Texas and when my in-laws visited there some 40 years ago, they were introduced to tacos. My father-in-law did NOT like them and I remember him asking me, “How in the world can you eat them TACK-OS?” We still laugh about that every time we eat tacos, which is often.

I enjoyed the end-of-month observations, MLM!
I respect your views on tacos, but I must respectfully disagree. My oldest sister introduced me to tacos at The Taco Kid restaurant in Penfield, NY way back in 1970, decades before tacos became common fast food fare. I’ve been a big fan of Mexican food ever since. Homemade tacos were also an inexpensive dinner option when we were raising our family. 🌮 🌮 🌮

    7. I rarely go to Hobby Lobby because, like the little girl, I’m not sure I would want to leave.💜

    6. Sacrilege…Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and of course Mexico. If you don’t want tacos, just consider their borders closed to you!🤣🌮
