10 at the End – February

Reflections, observations, gratitude

1. 1000% admiration for the Olympic athletes whose lives have been marked by self-discipline. The pursuit of excellence.

2. Spent Galentine’s Day enjoying a wonderful lunch, followed by watching Pride and Prejudice with my daughter.

3. Leaving the airport, I spotted a middle-age man walking outside to his driver – holding flowers. He grinned at the car and I craned my neck to see her reaction🥰. This touched my heart because he was the arrival, having carried the flowers during flight.

4. My youngest and I took a quick visit to Toronto, Canada.

5. Completed my Bible in a Year, 2025. Read A Thousand Mornings by Mary Oliver and I’m still working through We Who Wrestle with God by Jordan Peterson.

6. Thoroughly enjoyed the starkly contrasting TX and NY weather this month. I’m back in the Lone Star State until April.

7. Went to the tailor with my son to get his wedding tux made.

8. So thankful for God’s protection, provision, countless blessings…

9. I always appreciate and enjoy interesting conversations.

10. Son-in-law surprised us with tickets to the Austin Symphony. The music – wonderful – and the nighttime city view from the venue – spectacular!

Thank you for sharing your time with me today. May this first week of March be a great start to the month for you.

I remember that I’m almost done with my NKJV Bible too when you speak about finishing yours. Congrats, Mama. Beautiful event views!

I’ve been making my way through Peterson’s book slowly but enjoying it very much.

I’ve listened to a lot of Jordan Peterson. He is a valuable mind, seems to think things through to conclusions, or question. I haven’t read that book, but I appreciate his grounding in God.

The Dickens quote–this is why he is an iconic writer.

To encounter an intellectual like Peterson is rare. Especially when I listen to the audiobook versions (when I can’t sit down with the hard copy)… I appreciate how he articulates life and relationship complexities.

      Agree about Dickens!✍🏻
