Hope you waved hi while you were in the area. James is a very historic river in the Old Dominion. Great picture. Guessing from the hill sides you were past the fall line in Richmond rather than closer to the Chesapeake Bay in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Did you get a chance to visit any of the plantation houses along the James?

When our kids were little, we spent most of our Virginia visits between DC and Norfolk-touring the historical sites and coastline. In the last ten years, we’ve explored central around my daughter’s alma mater Liberty U, and this was taken in Glasgow, Virginia. I’ve said it often-Virginia is lush and beautiful. Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountains are stunning. I have gorgeous snaps of the mountains along the Blue Ridge Highway. (Haven’t toured the plantation houses since the kids were young.) You live in a beautiful location!
