“In May, witness nature’s resilience as it dares to blossom.” Emily Dickinson
Gratitude and enjoyment this month…the highlight reel…
- My daughter and I made homemade pasta and sauce at her place, playing Italian music while we cooked and ate. After dinner, we watched Tucci in Italy. It was a fun night! My daughter has been learning Italian the last year, and is touring there this fall.

2. During a recent walk, I watched a little girl somersault all the way down a hill while her brother played soccer on an adjacent field. That’s good fun right there! I smiled the entire time.
3. My wonderful kids celebrating Mother’s Day…
4. Spent a week in Texas with our youngest and son-in-law.
5. A delicious latte at a new coffee shop.

6. My son and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast together on a weekday morning before he started meetings.
7. Everyone was again traveling in different cities, and had some long car rides in May…I am thankful for God’s protection and never take it for granted.
8. My poem, Rollerblading Behind a Triplet Stroller, was published on Spillwords.
9. That Texas sky…

10. Gratitude for many May gifts…in-season fresh fruit, trees (finally) in full bloom with sturdy green leaves, early morning sunrises and time in God’s Word.
I hope your May was a good one…tomorrow we start the sixth month of 2025! Welcome June…
“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.” – Henry James
