Over the weekend, I skimmed through classic writings and poetry pertaining to the month of March. So many described warmth, daffodils and the emergence of sunshine… not here. March is still very much winter in our neck of the woods.
March arrived like a lion, with a windy 10°F low and 21°F high. A fresh dusting of snow couldn’t brighten the dirty snowbanks piled high on street corners.
Determined to beat the winter blues, I took a walk-grateful that I could-and captured these few images. While the sun refused to shine and the poor daffodils lie buried under snow, there is always something wonderful to appreciate in nature.

Though Spring arrives on March 20th, Spring weather will likely trail a bit behind for us. However, March 9th will bring extended daylight and happier spirits, regardless of the forecast!

Though we haven’t heard them yet, I suspect little chirps will soon awaken at dawn. The chorus brings joy. I know people who grumble about the early-morning-March bird meetings, but I honestly love them.

The March birth flower is the daffodil. This gray post needed some color…

Whether you are circling in a perpetual-winter or fortunate enough to see wild flowers blooming, “it’s a good day to have a good day”!
Mondays always feel like a fresh beginning, regardless of weather. I wish you a good one.
