London by Sky and Water

My daughters and I just returned from a memorable trip in England. I’ll share some of our sights with you throughout this week🇬🇧. Apparently, London in October is rarely dry and definitely not sunny. We only had one day of constant rain and the remainder of our time, we enjoyed crisp autumn air with occasional sun!

This taken while we were in a pod on the London Eye (which is the next image).
When our pod reached the peak and sat still, we had a spectacular view!
This view of the London Eye taken from a boat. We took the harbor cruise which offered wonderful opportunities for photos, and we learned a good amount of British history via our tour guide.
Some of London’s buildings via the boat cruise.

I wish you a blessed week ahead!

I really enjoyed this post. You showed scenes I never saw when I lived in England 1980 – 1982. The London eye had not been built then.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Yes, we learned that it did not officially carry its first passenger until early 2000 but Tony Blair had conducted the opening ceremony in December of 1999. I recall reading the letters that you wrote while you were over there and published on your blog. How wonderful to have experienced a completely different culture during the time you lived there. Those letters contain priceless family history!♥️

I am glad one of my children has saved all those posts. I have them, but I didn’t expect any of them to want them.

Hardly anyone writes letters any longer and you included such description – it’s good one of your children has them all♥️.

Glad you enjoyed London. Indeed we do have lots of rain right now as well. Hence our grass is beautifully green. I do love my London and love going in. In fact I go to a concert tomorrow right near Oxford street. It is great travelling with your daughters and I can imagine it was a very special time. Something to remember always.

Great photos! There so mch to see and do in England, one day I will return. I was only able to spend four days and that’s not enough. There are so many galleries to see and photos to take.

You are right-the more we traveled through the various regions, the more we discovered. We did so much and yet, there were still plenty of areas we didn’t get to. I’m happy you enjoyed the photos!

Great pics. Now I’m jealous because I am overdue (by 40 years) for a return trip to London.

It would probably be interesting to go back and see what has changed and what remains exactly the same since last time you were there.

What a wonderful trip you must have had with your girls! Can’t wait to see more because the U.K. is one of the places I’d love to visit.

It was interesting to experience a different culture. Many areas of London were bustling to the level of NYC, which was a surprise for me. I know you love wide open spaces and the country, so you may love central England which I’ll post tomorrow. I honestly loved it more than the big city-though I still appreciated all of what we did. It all felt special.

I’m sure London would be a bit too busy for me, but I’d like to experience it once. But you’re right, I’d like the wide open spaces and small villages much better.

Very nice light and editing. It’s a coincidence, we travelled to London at the same time as you did and took some photographs as well

Your photos are beautiful! We didn’t do any editing – just straight shots from the cell phone. Thank you for visiting!

With editing, you could make them even better – photoshop with AI f.e.
