Hurricane Helene

May our loving Father bless all the residents in North Carolina, Florida and Georgia who have been affected by the hurricane. The statistical data collected so far is heartbreaking:

The photos out of NC we’re especially devastating with many people on the mountains just as affected as those flooded in valleys. The following images are courtesy of Samaritans Purse via Instagram.

The following images are from The Palm Beach Post. Photo sources are located at the bottom of each image.

The Red Cross and Samaritans Purse are accepting donations for this crisis and countless others. Let’s continue to pray our fellow citizens through the heartbreak and recovery efforts.

I can’t get over how much widespread distrution there is, it’s more than you can wrap your head around. We donate to the Red Cross every time there is a disaster like this, they do such good work. It sounds like Smaritans Purse is doing the good work as well. 🙂

Right. The distance the storm reached is shocking, along with the damage.
How good it is that you donate. I feel that painfully few organizations are well-equipped and efficient enough to actually make an immediate and meaningful impact. The Red Cross and Samaritans Purse utilize their funds and very capable volunteers quite well.
      🙏🏻♥️

Thank you for sharing your thoughts for the people in this storm’s aftermath🙏🏻.
They really are terrible. It’s one thing to view the photos at a distance, but so devastating in real time for those people living in the affected areas.

It just hurts my heart. I’m thankful friends in the mountains of North Carolina and other friends in Greenville, South Carolina are safe. And I’m thankful for organizations like Samaritan’s Purse and many others that mobilized to give much needed aid. But we all need to continue praying for those affected.

I agree so much that prayer is required. So thankful to read that your friends in those areas are safe. Samaritans Purse pulls into communities with massive trucks setting up medical tents, while government agencies say they cannot get in. I don’t understand the logistics so no judgment here, I’m just thankful for the work SP does within a day’s time to minister to devastated towns.

Honestly. It’s mind-boggling the lack of immediate action, especially in the very small towns where there is real struggle right now.

So very sad. My heart hurts.

I lived in many parts of North and South Carolina for many years, it just breaks my heart to see what has happened there.

    Thanks for featuring this.

I, too, wonder what’s making the government drag their feet. I heard Michael Jordan donated more than a million dollars for relief agencies, and Trump’s Go Fund Me account for relief has raised over a million dollars.

    Blessings~

You must still have deep ties to those locations after living in both states. Understandable how personal this is for you.
Thank God for the agencies who know how to quickly assemble, specifically organize, and execute in a timely manner.
Thank you for adding Trump’s and Jordan’s contributions here♥️.

I’m thankful for alll the agencies and individuals who are assisting. Gives me hope for humanity. (Sadly, sometimes it is hard to hope.)

My sister in FL was lucky to be outside the path so she escaped without any serious damage. A friend in NC wasn’t so fortunate – 6 trees fell on her house and she had water coming in from 2 directions (up and down). She was told it could be up to 14 days before power is restored. She was prepared with food and water and a generator but doesn’t have enough fuel for 14 days… We are all praying for those in the affected areas.

Wow, so thankful about your sister but this is terrible for your friend. Six trees is major damage. I pray it does not take 14 days for power to be restored. Two weeks is like an eternity under those circumstances. So many of us remain alongside you in prayer.

She was able to get a tarp over the biggest hole and they were able to get some more gasoline so the freezer is running. So all’s well for now!
