    Those mushroom like fluffy things look pretty, but I think they may be an unhealthy fungus.

      I agree. I looked up a few images online and it’s concerning to see these on mature trees at a very beautiful walking park.

    I love looking for oddities like these. We always comment over what we call ‘gnarly’ trees when we take walks. Right now we have a brain growing in the yard. I will have to take a photo and post a bit about it. we shovel it away and here it comes again.
