You fondly remember the hilarious, super fun, feel-good television commercials of the past. Now? Commercial watching is ruined. Big pharma is one of many reasons to only stream commercial-free tv.

Christmas commercials used to be a gentle, snowy, nostalgic-generating 15-30 seconds during a December television show.

Can you even believe this came from Budwiser once upon a time…??!!

Super Bowl commercials even for the most disinterested NFL watcher – were enjoyable.

“Back in the day” 5th graders could be assigned fun Super Bowl projects, reporting on Monday how effective or ineffective marketing was during the big Sunday game.

That was before the vile, wicked Rx commercials bombarded the airwaves!

At this point, watching cable television guarantees too much Spectrum and big pharma dominating the advertiser space. Yuck to both…we mid-lifers forced ourselves to speak fluent streaming.

        I never did like the idiot box and now they have all swearing, homosexual and other anti- Christian themes in the shows.

        I used to like to watch shows like the Wonderful World of Disney, Hogan’s Hero’s, Happy Days, Wild Kingdom and of course every Billy Graham Crusade that I could.

          When my kids were young, I actually had them watch Happy Days and Leave it to Beaver, even though they weren’t nearly as vivid as HD TV they were accustomed to!😄

            Yeah but were good shows.

            I do not believe there is one show worth watching now.

            I liked Any of Mayberry, The Twilight Zone, National Geographic and The Crocidile Hunter (with Steven on it )

    Agreed. I can’t stand watching commercials. They used to be clever and funny back in the day. And no Rx ones either.

      We actually yell “mute!!” out loud in the living room the second some Rx commercial ramps up! Whoever is closest hits the remote. Like you, that might be the most popular button on the remote at this point.

    Sadly, I don’t remember any of these ads, because I don’t think they aired in my country (South Africa). But I have a lot of nostalgia from the ones that did – and honestly? We haven’t had a TV in the house for about six years now! By choice! We all decided we didn’t need it – watching instead on laptops and cell phones – which pretty much meant no more annoying ads.
    Because ads these days are just plain ridiculous!

      I love that you took out the TVs from your home! Watching on your laptops likely prevents all those awful ads from playing. Yes, they really are ridiculous!
