You’re Middle-Age When…Powders and Supplements

Published by

The protein powders…supplements…even exercise become more about health, less about appearance! Sure, some products can multi-task, but by mid-life for most people, the primary interests become feeling good and staying healthy.

When I tried various vitamins, collagen, etc., in the past, they were more about looking good. Then: Omega-3s for smooth skin. Now? Omega-3s for arthritis. Then: Muscle building drinks for the sake of strong lines. Now? I’m working to keep the muscles strong just to support the tired skeleton!

Like most women, I’ll still try all sorts of beauty products… but for me in mid-life: the first goals are health and strength – then appearance.

I guess I’m an anomaly – I was never one to worry (or spend money) in an effort to look younger or better. It has always been about health…
